Welcome Matt Smith!

New President of the Greater KC (formerly Heart of America) HIMSS Chapter

It is my honor to hand the reins over to Matt Smith as our new President. Matt has the passion and skill sets to take this chapter to the next level. Matt and I have worked shoulder to shoulder for the past 7 years on the Heart of America HIMSS board.  He brings the discipline and leadership that will propel our board and committees to be the best they can be while keeping our mission and goals a priority for our Greater KC Healthcare Community.  I can’t believe two years as President is over!  Our fiscal year came to an end on June 30th.  It has been a privilege and honor to work with some of the best and brightest minds that are committed to educating and improving Healthcare in the Greater Kansas City area.  Thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a great group of people and being such a great support system to achieve our chapter goals.

Cheers!

Linda Gerber

What Does Population Health Mean to You?

Today “population health” is a buzz word with many different meanings. Everyone uses it but when we poll a group of 10 individuals you will get 10 different answers. The traditional meaning is thought to be “The health outcomes of a group of individuals, including the distribution of such outcomes within the group.”

Come and learn directly from our local Healthcare Leaders, Systems and Payers what Population Health means to them and what they are working on to improve our population health in the Greater KC area.
