A letter from our President

Welcome to the Heart of America HIMSS Chapter website.  We appreciate your support and participation to ensure our chapter is successful.  We rely on vendor sponsors and volunteers to give our chapter the ability and resources to bring education events that are relevant and important in healthcare to our members.  All at no charge to our members!

In 2015 we delivered education and networking events to over 400+ attendees.  We provided education on Security, Big Data and Analytics and partnered with Johnson County Community College on the Health Information Technology Workforce Summit.

Our membership has grown by 150 members in 2015 and 127 in 2014.  This directly corresponds to delivering education events that are of most interest and need to our members, along with bringing in healthcare industry experts that are able to transfer their knowledge and experience to our members.  In 2016 we will be providing four education events along with a few Networking Socials.

The Heart of America HIMSS Chapter is a non-profit group comprised of volunteers.  In order to continue bringing top notch education events to our members, we need your help.  We are always looking for volunteers to help us with the various activities.  If you want to get involved, please let us know.

We look forward to seeing you at our events throughout 2016!

Kind Regards,

Linda Gerber

President, Heart of America HIMSS Chapter
